Maoming Petrochemical's environmental protection capabilities have been further upgraded.
At 10:58 on September 4, 2020, the No. 7 sulfur recovery unit introduced raw material gas into the unit, and successfully produced qualified liquid sulfur products at 15:58, marking the successful start-up of the unit.
The device started construction in January 2019, with a design processing capacity of 150,000 tons per year. It is an environmental protection device supporting the Maoming Petrochemical Product Structure Optimization Project, and is currently the company's largest sulfur recovery device.
For the first time, the device adopts the sulfur dioxide recovery method of Shell Consolv technology in the sulfur recovery unit of Sinopec. Features such as low emission concentration. After the plant is put into operation, Maoming Petrochemical's sulfur recovery capacity will reach 490,000 tons per year, which can well meet the needs of environmental protection.
Since entering the start-up stage on June 2, the device has been under construction while starting. The participating units of the company are meticulously deployed, scientifically coordinated, focused on me, and overcome difficulties. In accordance with the requirements of "wherever the construction is, the trial production preparation is there, and the trial production is used to lead the overall planning of the construction", and the organization, personnel, and technology are fully prepared , materials, marketing, external conditions and other preparations, and accelerate the construction and commissioning of the device.
Participating units such as the oil refining division and the instrument control and measurement department intervened in advance to carry out in-depth "three investigations and four determinations", eliminating hidden dangers affecting the start-up and normal operation of the equipment, and strengthening the construction quality of the equipment. At the same time, through measures such as "time-staggered, misplaced, and hard isolation" to reduce the safety and environmental risks of on-site construction and ensure that the construction starts without delay.
On September 19, 2020, the No. 3 sulfur packaging device also successfully started steaming safely!
