PRG Series Flat Die Plate Press Granulator
Product Description
Working principles:
The working principles of the screw extruder is a kind of granulation method between dry process granulation and wet process granulation, therefore this granulation is also known as semi-dry process granulation. Materials are placed on the upper side of the formwork with apertures; principal axis drives rolling wheel to revolve while the rolling wheel revolves on its axis. The rolling wheel continuously presses material layer on the formwork with apertures. Materials are forced to be extruded from apertures in the diagonal triangle area formed between formwork and rolling roller. The cylindrical strips extruded below the formwork are cut by scraper (or are naturally broken), thus obtaining cylindrical particles. The diameter of the particles ranges between 2 to 40 mm, with granulation rate of higher than or equal to 95%. In the process of granulation, water content required for granulation of materials is less than water content required for screw extrusion while the particles strength is higher than that of screw extrusion.
Scope of application:
Typical applied materials: Activated carbon, carbon powder, pulverized coal, plant fiber, fermented waste, compound fertilizer, bio-fertilizer, additives, catalyst, pesticide, pot clay, lead oxide, zinc oxide, etc.

Main advantages:
• High granulation rate without screening and return of materials.
• Granulation requires less water content, featuring higher strength of particles, and lower secondary pulverization rate.
• As granulation requires less water content, the energy consumption in the follow-up drying process is less. Granulation of some materials doesn’t require drying.
• High productivity of single machine; maximum productivity of single machine reaches as high as 20,000 kg/hr.
